Hiking and mountaineering in the Ötztal

From idyllic forest walks to family-friendly circular hikes and high mountain tours – the Natur Camping Kuprian offers the ideal starting point and is very close to the most beautiful hiking trails of the Ötztal. And there are no less than 1 600 km of them here. You can reach the summer alpine pastures of Breitlehn Alm or Polles Alm directly from Huben.

There are plenty of options for further hikes and plenty of room to climb to the heights. The Halkogel, the local mountain of Huben, promises the most beautiful view over the outer Ötztal. The viewing platforms Teufelskanzel or the suspension bridge between Burgstein and Brand above Längenfeld are a little more leisurely, but also very scenic.

Sagenweg to Feuerstein

You can start the Ötztaler Sagenweg (Folklore Path), from the campsite in Huben. Learn about the traditional and sometimes scary but beautiful legends from the Ötztal on the hour long walk to the Alpengasthof Feuerstein. While walking the 3 km long path, you will encounter up to 5 m high sculptures each portraying a story or legend. In total there are 14 legends to be discovered. An experience for the whole family. Once the climb has been accomplished you are rewarded with local specialities, a pleasant ambience and a wonderful view from the Feuerstein viewing platform.
